 Lack of Adhesion A ProblemNov 09, 2010

Conceptually, I can think of few things more fabulous than a days of the week moustache kit. Each of the moustaches has its own name, i.e. "The Hollywood", "The Weasel", "The Sheriff", which is pretty great. So I applaud the originator of this idea for the overall spirit of fun and inventiveness which I associate with this product. This is why I didn't give the product a 1-star rating.
However, the lack of adhesion is a deal breaker. When I pulled the adhesive backing off the first moustache, the back wasn't even slightly tacky to the touch. There was no adhesion whatsoever. I ended up using a 3M foam double sided adhesive square cut into strips to mount the moustache, and even then I didn't find that it stuck very well. For $8+, I expect more than 30 seconds of adhesion before gravity removes my artificial hair prosthetic for me.
I think this is a really fun product in theory, but unless you're planning to use it briefly just to take a few goofy photos, and you have something else handy to make it stick for a few minutes, I don't recommend it. The moustaches are definitely not robust enough to wear as part of a costume or for a longer period of time.

I heard of these through a friend whose son received these mustaches and they had so much fun with them. I just had to get some. My son, who is 5, loved these. He had to try on the different mustaches for each day right away. Unfortunately, several had the sticky backing come off on the paper backing instead of the mustache and therefore could not be stuck to your face. I was very disappointed and so was he. So we have 3 mustaches that he can wear and the rest are garbage. Worth the fun and laughs but not the money.

The poor adhesion of this product scuttles it. Too bad, because they are really fun to play around with otherwise. You can get other fake 'staches that stay on, so I'd pass on this one.

My 10 year old son very much enjoyed this. It arrived within the time frame given and without any problems. The item was exactly as pictured. I wish I would have gotten more as they don't stick well after being removed. But for a fun, silly toy it was perfect! Plus as an extra the packaging was nostalgic, I loved that! "Don't go out in public with a naked lip"!!

I'd give these a 5 star rating but in a very crowded, hot room the sticky came off of on the paper backing instead of on the mustaches, so we held them on =p
